I'm going to start a series of street photos of people on their mobiles, they are usually totally unaware...

Another photo of Albert Street, this time from the opposite end standing on the junction of Station Road. The light this time of year is not too favourable for this shote as the sun never hardly rises above the houses and until about 3pm is in front, making exposure difficult. I will try this again next year.

Also, getting the convergence of the road paths is very difficult. I think I could have done better to stand about 1' to the right?

Daniel Meadows "Best Shot"

I recently visited the Bradford Media Museum which was running a Daniel Meadows exhibition (Early Photographic Works, which runs until 19 February 2012). I was very impressed with some of his Butlins work in particular and bought one of his books showcasing them.

He started out with Martin Parr, one of my favourite photographers...

Albert Street, Brigg: 1904 - 2011

This is a photo within a photo taken from The Point at the top of Albert Street in Brigg. The trees were all a lot younger on the postcard, which was taken in 1904.

I used a wide angle (12mm on my D300) lens to make sure plenty of the surrounding area was in view and to help get the whole lot pretty sharp. It took quite a few goes, and I think this was the best one.
